About Us

About Us

KWTFA is the oldest established track and field club in the Region of Waterloo. In January of 2014 we celebrated our 50th year of athletic training. We are a not for profit minor sports association affiliated with the cities of Kitchener and Waterloo. Both cities contribute finances to offset the cost of running our programs which are available to any athlete starting at grade 6.

The primary objective of the club is to give each athlete a positive experience in sport by providing them an opportunity to develop their individual talents and athletic skills. Our coaches have a progressive approach to athletic development which allows young people to achieve their athletic goals in a positive, encouraging environment. This community based non-elitist approach has provided us and our athletes with short and long term results that are well renowned.

Our Club is run by a duly elected Board of Directors and governed by a constitution approved by city officials.

Partners

KWTFA wishes to acknowledge the contributions of Canadian Tire Foundation for Families Jumpstart Program, the City of Waterloo, and the City of Kitchener.
