FALL REGISTRATION IS THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 7TH FROM 6:00-8:00PM AT GREEN ACRE PARK LOCATED AT 580 BEAVER CREEK ROAD IN WATERLOO. WE WILL BE IN THE RECREATION HALL. TURN RIGHT WHEN ENTERING THE PARK, THE RECREATION HALL IS ON THE LEFT JUST BEFORE THE OFFICE.

Our year is divided into a Fall Session (September and October) Winter/Indoor Session 1 (November and December)  Winter/Indoor Session 2  (February- April) and Outdoor Summer Session (May-July)

Outdoor Summer Session starts Tuesday May 2nd.

 

Age Groups

KWTFA provides training for Minor Track Association (MTA) (aged 14 and under), and Athletics Ontario (AO) (high school aged and older) athletes.

Athletes MUST be in grade 6 to be eligible for our indoor sessions.  

Membership Options

All Memberships include two practices/week for MTA athletes, and up to three practices/week for AO athletes. Training athletes do NOT have the opportunity to compete, however, memberships may be upgraded at any time to include competitions.

Funding Information

Jumpstart is a national charity that provide financial support to families so that more kids have an opportunity to participate in local sports programs. Families can apply directly to Jumpstart online by visiting http://jumpstart.canadiantire.ca/en.htmland hitting ‘apply now’.

The City of Waterloo Fee Assistance Leisure Access Program is a program of financial support for permanent residents with low income living in Waterloo, that helps individuals participate in City of Waterloo recreational and affiliated minor sport and arts programs. The assistance is given in the form of a credit to eligible individuals. Kidsport is a not for profit organization that runs independently from the cities, they fund up to $500 per child per year. http://www.kidsportcanada.ca/ontario/kitchener-waterloo/

Practice Information

Detailed information on clothing, spikes and running shoes will be given by the coaches.
